allbravura:

i’m going to leave you anyway
i’m going to leave you anyway
you’re going to walk right out that door

i want my face to be untouched
i want to sleep and dream alone

i’m doing what i can for my body’s sake

We moved this past month from a rental in Brooklyn back to my old apartment were I grew up. My boyfriend took on a massive project for me right before the move - turning some temporary shelves I had put up years ago into a real bookshelf… He took it way more seriously than I expected and it came out awesome! Still unpacking and need to paint the wall between the built-ins, but my books have found a beautiful new home.

conversation for a comic I’m too tired to draw atm

ursulav:

Aubrey: Well, you know, it’s the old “if you love something you should let it go” sentiment.

Arienette: Right… but like… if the thing that loves you lets you go, what are you supposed to do? Walk away? Go have a smoke? Watch the ducks in the park and hope when you get back they’ll have snapped out of their stupidity? Or just stand there looking at them like their daft until they get that you’ve got no where else to be?

Aubrey: I don’t know, but I’m all out of bread crumbs and that duck looks angry.

i’ve been working on Aubrey and Arienette more lately. By the time I actually get this project to a finished place I’ll have a story that I have literally spent over a decade thinking and dreaming about. So many little snippets are finally coming together in my head as a sequence of events and a story rather than snapshots. It’s exciting.
